A One Stop Portal for Film Festivals

Well I haven’t checked it to see if every film festival in the world is listed but I found the one for my city, one for Venice, then Cannes–I even found the Reel Stuff Film Festival of Aviation in Dayton, Ohio! With that kind of scope you’re bound to find a festival in or near your region of the country. The site is www.filmfestivals.com.
Now that we’re getting closer to the end of summer I’m starting to feel that excitement that I get during the fall season. I want to see the latest movies, at night and not in a cineplex. I want to go into the city, all dressed up–maybe even wear lipstick. I’m not saying I actually do this, but I feel this way every fall.
When I was younger I’d imagine I was living in New York City and my girlfriends and I would be dressed in the most sophisticated fall outfits, accentuated with stylish fall jackets and elegant high heels. We’d be walking down the sidewalk with the wind gently billowing around us and a look on our faces that was pure “Vogue” (you know the wild laughing shots of women teetering on 4 inch heels as passers by look at their goddess like teetering in awe).
How I went from that fantasy to moving to Lansing, Michigan where I met a hazel eyed fellow, then PROMPTLY married him only to move to another equally exotic location (Cleveland) where I settled down with our progeny, I’ll never know. I’ll have to ask him after his nap.
Oh well, take a look at www.filmfestivals.com and make this the year that you go to a film festival, one blustery fall evening, in your most comfy Nike’s and on your best girlfriend’s arm!
P.S. Clive Owen is featured in this post for no particular reason other than I like him as an actor. He won’t have a film out until 2009 - boo, hoo.
Momsprim is just entering her prime years and looking forward to the adventures ahead!
