Film Festivals

Have you ever been to a film festival? If you have no idea what I’m talking about that’s a great reason for you to go. If you are familiar with film festivals nod in agreement if you’ve never attended because you’ve never purchased tickets to attend because you didn’t have the time or budget.

Add this to your list of fun-things-to-do-now-that-the-kids-can-pay-for-their-own-entertainment.

Film festivals are often sponsored by institutes, film departments at colleges/universities or private organizations that like to have celebrities in their town for events like this.

A film festival is a great way to learn more about the actors and people behind the scenes who create your favorite films. There are often panel discussions featuring the actors and directors and special presentations that the public can attend during film festivals. If chatter like that is not of interest to you, then just pick up tickets for films that pique your interest and get an advance viewing of some of the movies that will be coming to your local cineplex (or not) in the months ahead.

Check back in a few weeks…I’ll be posting information about upcoming film festivals in the U.S. and Canada.
