I am pleased to be on the site with you. I am co-owner of Girlfriend Tours International, a travel company dedicated to women and primarily promoting travel to Jamaica.

In April of 2000 I visited Jamaica for the first time, and lost my heart to that beautiful island. I’ve traveled to many places in the world, but no place else has spoken to my soul like Jamaica. Immediately upon landing I felt as if I had come home to a place my soul had been longing for.

If I could tell you one thing that makes Jamaica special to me, I must say it is the rich culture. Jamaicans are extremely proud and protective when it comes to their culture. Rich in language, music, food, mores, and innuendo, Jamaican culture captures the imagination and has a flair that will remind you of mother Africa.

Our tours always start the first Thursday after the 4^th of July, and last for 5 nights 6 days. We have formed relationships in the country with Jamaican owned and operated hotels, restaurants, attractions, etc. We reject the all inclusive concept on our tours, and gear each day’s activity to the individual. We have even had married couples or couples come along on our tours.

Next year’s tour is in beautiful Negril, with a full compliment of activities planned for you. You can choose to run with the group, strike out on your own, or just do NOTHING on any given day.
